Workers began assembling a UFC Octagon on the White House South Lawn yesterday, visible above the roofline of the West Wing, ahead of the "UFC Freedom Fights 250" event planned for June 14th, which is both President Trump's birthday and Flag Day.
The event, part of America's 250th anniversary celebrations, will feature a lightweight title fight between champion Ilia Topuria and interim champion Justin Gaethje, along with four other bouts. UFC shared renderings showing a full stadium setup, and a White House spokesperson called it one of the greatest sports events in history.
