Adam Jones Hints At Possible Tool Sphere Residency

Tool guitarist Adam Jones confirmed this week that the band is still in talks with Las Vegas's Sphere about a future residency, saying that he thinks "we will do it at some point." Jones said the band was actually approached about opening the Sphere back in 2023 before U2 ultimately got the slot, and that the venue has remained enthusiastic about booking them. He cited a long list of ongoing production, scheduling, and financial complications as reasons for the delay. Drummer Danny Carey said earlier this year the band hoped to announce a Sphere run after their next studio album, adding that he's toured the venue and that Tool would be "the perfect band" for the immersive format.

Daughtry Announces "Shock To The System (Deluxe)"

Daughtry has announced a deluxe vinyl edition of their two-part "Shock to the System" project, combining all 14 songs from both EPs with four live recordings into one double LP due June 5th via Big Machine Rock. Three vinyl variants will be available exclusively through the band's website, including a widely available two-color splatter pressing and two ultra-limited editions of 250 copies each: a glow-in-the-dark signed pressing and a metallic silver picture disc. The project, which produced back-to-back Active Rock number ones in "Artificial" and "Pieces," represents the band's most personal and heavy creative period.

Switchfoot Announces "Forever Now Tour". Dallas, Austin... No Houston!

Switchfoot has announced the "Forever Now Tour," a 38-date fall U.S. headlining run with special guests Anberlin, in support of their upcoming album of the same name due June 26th. The tour kicks off September 17th in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and hits major markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville, and Boston. A new single, "Absolution," drops May 15th and is set for radio impact June 2nd. Bassist Tim Foreman said the new songs are "incredibly meaningful" and "increasingly relevant," and frontman Jon Foreman said bringing Anberlin along is a true gift, as the two bands have been friends for years. Presales begin today through the band's fan club, with general on-sale on Friday.
