Trader Joe’s Insulated Mini Tote Bags Are Back For Summer
Just in time for summer, Trader Joe’s is bringing back six new versions of their mini insulated tote bags that were first introduced in 2024. They’re essentially lunchboxes, and will come in six designs: two striped versions that feature blue and green or red and pink colors, and four more with a Trader Joe’s store silhouette in green, blue, purple and orange. They’re priced at $3.99 each and will be available starting May 20.
The mini tote bags measure 10 by 6 by 6 inches and have a capacity of 1 ½ gallons, but they’ll only be sold in limited quantities. In the past, they became serious collector’s items, and some online resale prices hit thousands of dollars in the first release. There were huge lines to grab some back then and they also became a huge hit in Japan.
Trader Joe’s wasn’t crazy about the resale problem from the prior release saying “Our customers, in our stores, are our focus; we do not endorse the resale of any of our products, anywhere.” That probably won’t stop the same thing from happening this year, but if you aren’t able to get one of the tote bags, the company mentioned that there will be new canvas bags being released later this summer in a comment to People magazine. That may be your best alternative!
