Chipotle Says If You Want Bigger Portions . . . "Just Ask"
There was a time when NO ONE complained about the portion sizes at Chipotle. Your giant burrito could've been mistaken for a small child in a sleeping bag.
Recently, Chipotle has been one of the places accused of shrinkflation, with customers complaining about PAYING MORE . . . for LESS.
Well, don't be shy . . . ask for another spoonful. Chipotle's CEO is Scott Boatwright, and he says if you're unsatisfied, "ask for a little more." Quote, "We serve big, beautiful bowls and burritos. Full stop. No questions asked.
"If you want more, just ask the team member. I promise you [no one is] going to say no . . . I tell my team all the time, put as much food in that bowl and burrito as you possibly can. I want the consumer to tell you, 'It's too big.'"
So does that apply to guac? Well . . . no.
Boatwright was asked about the price of guacamole, and he said, "I think that guac is rightly priced, for all the love and care that goes into that product . . . by the farmers . . . grown organically. We hand-cut . . . and mix it [all in-house]."
