Music: Anthony Kiedis' Girlfriend Defends Their 33-Year Age Gap

Anthony Kiedis' Girlfriend Defends Their 33-Year Age Gap in a "Vogue" Essay

Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis is known for having significant age gaps with girlfriends. He's 63. His current girlfriend is 30-year-old Eileen Kelly and she's a sex and dating columnist for "Vogue".

They were first seen together last November, and she's defending their 33-year age gap in a new essay for "Vogue"

She doesn't mention Anthony by name, but she does say how her boyfriend is in his 60s and has a house in Hawaii.

Eileen says, quote, "It's my first time dating someone significantly older . . . I joke with friends that I've been missing out my whole life. There is something to be said for a man who's simply had more time to get his [crap] together.

"My much older boyfriend seems genuinely excited to be with me, not like he's biding his time before he can swipe for someone better. He is fully aware that he's one lucky bastard."

She also says it's sometimes awkward in public when Anthony gets mistaken for being her father. Oh, and how she has her own career and home, so there's not a risk of losing everything if it doesn't work out.

Sully Erna Says There Will Be New Godsmack Music/Goes Public With Relationship With Dorothy

Godsmack frontman Sully Erna says the band isn't done making music, even though two of its founding members have retired. Erna clarified when he said 2023's "Lighting Up the Sky" would likely be the band's last album, he meant the last one with the original lineup. Guitarist Tony Rombola and drummer Shannon Larkin stepped away after deciding they no longer wanted to tour at that level. Erna and bassist Robbie Merrill have since brought in two new members, guitarist Sam Koltun and drummer Wade Murff, and say new music could arrive as early as next year. Erna says the band sounds better than ever and is heading out on a North American tour this summer with Stone Temple Pilots and Dorothy…which means that Sully and Dorothy are also taking their new relationship on the road. When asked how it came about, Dorothy said Erna makes her “feel safe,” and also said “we had a wonderful friendship for months and months. I've never laughed so much in my life. My face hurts."

Foo Fighters Rock "SNL UK"

Foo Fighters made history on Saturday as the first American act to perform on "SNL UK," appearing just one day after dropping their new album "Your Favorite Toy." With guitarist Pat Smear back after recovering from a broken foot, the band gave live debuts to "Caught in the Echo," the album's opening track and first single, and "Child Actor," a more reflective piece about growing up in the spotlight. The episode was hosted by "Bridgerton" star Nicola Coughlan, whose monologue featured a cameo from Jimmy Fallon and a fun bit where Fallon encouraged her to ask Dave Grohl to be her best friend. "We're live," Fallon said. "He has to say yes."
