Food: McDonald’s Is Rolling Out Dirty Sodas And Refreshers Nationwide

McDonald’s Is Rolling Out Dirty Sodas And Refreshers Nationwide

McDonald’s is rolling out a selection of new Dirty Sodas and Refreshers to nationwide locations later this spring and summer. The lineup will feature drinks from last year’s failed CosMc’s concept, which were successfully tested at over 500 locations.

Per the Wall Street Journal, McDonald’s franchisees have invested heavily into new beverage machines, designed specifically to produce the dirty sodas and caffeinated Refreshers that will be made in a collaboration with Red Bull. McDonald’s is joining in on the attempt to appeal to a younger demographic along with Taco Bell’s Live Más Café, Panera, Starbucks, Sonic, and Whataburger’s Whatarefreshers.

The new Refreshers and craft sodas are expected to be launched next month, with the energy drinks to follow in August, so be on the lookout for them on your next visit to Mickey D’s.

Watching Videos About Junk Food Might Help You Eat Less Junk Food

A new study might have found a way to curb your craving for junk food. All you have to do is watch a video about junk food.

The study found that people who are trying to abstain from unhealthy foods end up watching more of them online. And then, surprisingly, they eat less of it afterward.

Researchers call it "cross-modal satiation" . . . Basically, your brain gets enough satisfaction from seeing the food that you don't actually have to eat it.

But there's a catch. This only worked while watching junk food videos, not healthy alternatives. Apparently, watching videos about healthier foods does nothing to curb your craving for the unhealthy stuff.
