The Strokes Send New Single To Fans On Cassette

The day after announcing their new album "Reality Awaits," The Strokes quietly sent a new song called "Going Shopping" to fans via cassette tape, mailed to those who signed up for the band's SMS marketing list. A fan posted a recording online, and the band then debuted it live at San Francisco's Bill Graham Civic Auditorium the same night.
