Food: Taco Bell Is Bringing Butter Chicken Taco To The U.S. After Fan Vote

Taco Bell Is Bringing A Butter Chicken Taco To The U.S. After Fan Vote

Taco Bell just announced the results of their first-ever Global Taco Vote, and the winner with 64.65% of the vote is the Butter Chicken Taco. It beat out the runner-up, Thailand’s Kickin’ Chicken Taco, and will be on U.S. menus later this year as a limited-edition offering.

Taco Rewards members were asked to choose which international-inspired taco should be introduced in the U.S. and the Butter Chicken Taco was the overwhelming favorite. It features shredded slow-roasted chicken in a tomato cream-based sauce with spices and then topped with cilantro, onion, lettuce, and cheddar cheese inside a crispy chalupa shell.

Be on the lookout for the new Taco Bell Butter Chicken Taco at participating nationwide locations this year for a limited time only.

Tokyo-style pizza is taking off. It looks like a regular Neapolitan pie, but it has a "thick and airy outer crust, while maintaining a thin bottom crust." It also carries "a faint taste of wood smoke."

Forget Martinelli's . . . You Can Buy $100 Non-Alcoholic Champagne

If you're looking for a celebratory cheers WITHOUT the booze, many people go with Martinelli's sparkling cider. It might be boring, but it's only a few bucks a bottle. But what do you do if you want to spend MORE money?

There's a company called Oddbird that produces non-alcoholic wines and "dealcoholized champagne." It's supposed to have "the craft and taste of an elevated sparkling beverage." And you definitely pay for it.

A bottle of fake champagne costs $100 . . . and believe it or not, there's a WAITLIST for this stuff. (???) I guess it's cheaper than FANCY alcoholic champagne, which can be HUNDREDS of dollars a bottle.

The company says that's a bargain because, quote, "The process of de-alcoholization is not cheap . . . you're getting a premium experience that delivers ritual, community and artistry, and [you have] to pay for that."

"De-alcoholized" wine does seem more "elevated" than grape juice . . . but it'd better taste INCREDIBLE.
