The iHeartRadio Music Award Winners Recap

The iHeartRadio Music Award Winners Are...

The iHeartRadio Music Awards were last night, and it was an evening filled with big wins and big performances. We break it all down here.

Taylor Swift had a big night. She took home seven wins, out of nine nominations...extending her record as iHeartRadio’s most decorated artist of all time. She also made her first joint awards show appearance with husband-to-be Travis Kelce. Tay Tay’s wins included Artist of the Year and Album of the Year, for “The Life of a Showgirl.”

Alex Warren won Song of the Year for “Ordinary,” Sabrina Carpenter won Pop Artist of the Year, and “Kpop Demon Hunter’s” Huntr/x (EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, REI AMI) won for Duo/Group of the Year. Chris Brown was honored as the R&B Artist of the Year. Morgan Wallen won Country Artist of the Year. Kendrick Lamar won for Hip-Hop Artist of the Year. Twenty One Pilots grabbed the award for Alternative Artist of the Year.

Ludacris (who was also the host) received the Landmark Award, which honors artists whose portfolio has shaped culture across multiple decades. Miley Cyrus received the Innovator Award, given to artists who continuously contribute to pop culture and the music industry. Alex Warren received the Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award. John Mellencamp was honored with the Icon Award.

But the night wasn’t just about awards…it was also about performances!

  • Alex Warren turned the stage into a surreal subway scene, opening with a stripped-down take of "Ordinary" at the piano before diving into the high-energy "Fever Dream" inside a full-scale train car. The performance quickly escalated into controlled chaos, with dancing commuters, live brass, and explosive visuals.
  • John Mellencamp delivered a heartfelt, stripped-down set after accepting the Icon Award, turning the moment into both a celebration and a reflection on his decades-long career. With acoustic renditions of “Jack & Diane” and “Pink Houses,” he invited the crowd to sing along, creating a nostalgic vibe that really captured his enduring legacy.
  • Kehlani lit up the stage with a smooth, visually creative performance of "Folded," transforming the set into a laundromat complete with synchronized dancers who were folding their clothes.
  • Lainey Wilson lit up the stage with a high-energy medley that showcased her signature country grit and charisma. Blending fan favorites like “Wildflowers and Wild Horses,” “Hang Tight Honey” and “Heart Like a Truck,” she delivered a confident, crowd-pleasing performance.
  • Ludacris brought the energy, debuting the new song "Pull Over" alongside a full marching band and dancers. He also kept things cruising with a high-octane medley of hits like “Rollout (My Business)” and “Stand Up,” reminding the crowd why he’s remained a force for decades.
  • Raye brought the house down with a powerhouse performance of “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!”
  • TLCSalt-N-Pepa and En Vogue brought serious nostalgia and energy to the stage, previewing their upcoming tour with a hit-filled medley. From En Vogue’s smooth “Hold On” to TLC’s iconic “Waterfalls,” the performance seamlessly blended powerhouse vocals, choreography, and crowd-favorite moments. The trio of groups kept the hits coming with a mix of classics like “Shoop," "Whatta Man," "Creep,” and more.
