When We Were Young, the massive festival that was held in Las Vegas for the past four years, won't be happening in 2026. (Here's the drop of a big voice saying "Cancelled!")

Organizers said in a statement that it would return in 2027. The Punk in the Park festival has cancelled all of its 2026 events (Pittsburgh, Orlando, and Vallejo, California) following backlash over a donation made to Trump's presidential campaign by the festival owner, Cameron Collins of Brew Ha Ha Productions.

Shinedown's Brent Smith Is A Fan Of Hardy And Ella Langley

Shinedown has reached the pinnacle of the rock world, and in doing so, can tell the difference between wannabes and the real deal. Brent Smith, lead singer for the band, visited with "Taste of Country Nights" when the conversation turned to country artists he admires. First, he praised Hardy, who he calls a "songwriting force of nature." And he's recently discovered Ella Langley, who, he says, sounds like someone you wanna hang out with. When he was asked if Shinedown would cover "Choosin' Texas," Smith said, "If she wants to do it with us!"

Atreyu Announces New Album

California rock band Atreyu has announced their tenth studio album, "The End Is Not the End," due out April 24th via Spinefarm. The announcement came alongside the release of a new single, "All for You," the third track shared from the record ahead of its release, following "Dead" and "Ego Death." Frontman Brandon Saller describes it as the band's heaviest album yet, but also their most adventurous musically. A great example of that is that the album also features a guest appearance by metal legend Max Cavalera on the track "Children of Light." Atreyu will hit the road for a spring U.S. tour supporting Sevendust starting in late April.

Singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka died on Friday. He was 86.

He was hospitalized in Los Angeles after experiencing a medical emergency and passed away that day. He had several #1 hit songs that spanned several decades.

Neil has the rare distinction of updating a version of his own #1 hit and making the newer version #1 again. His upbeat original version of "Breaking Up Is Hard to Do" was #1 in 1962, then his ballad version in 1975 hit the top again. He co-wrote "Love Will Keep Us Together". Captain and Tennille's cover became the biggest song of 1975. Toni Tennille even sings "Sedaka is back" near the end.
