Burger King Is Making Three Changes to Its Whopper
Burger King may be feeling the heat from the new burger McDonald's is introducing next week . . . because they've just announced a "make-over" for the Whopper to make it "higher-quality."
They're making three changes:
1. The bread is being swapped out, for a "more premium, better tasting" bun. But don't expect a huge change. It will still be a sesame seed-coated bun.
2. The packaging will shift. Rather than being wrapped in paper . . . the upgraded Whopper will be served in a box. This is so they don't get smushed.
3. The toppings will get an update. Each Whopper will now come "stacked tall with freshly cut onions and tomatoes, with crisp lettuce, and tangy pickles." Those were all already included, so maybe they're punching up the process a bit.
They do say that the Whoppers will now come with "better tasting mayo."
These are Burger King's first Whopper changes in nearly a decade, but they are not SPECIFICALLY targeting McDonald's giant "Big Arch" burger. The Whopper is still a single, quarter-pound beef patty.
It sounds like the changes are already being rolled out to locations nationwide.
The most overpriced pizza chains are: Round Table, Domino's, and Pizza Hut. The key word is "overpriced," not the most expensive.
