Sublime Announces New Album And Tour

Sublime has signed with Atlantic Records and will release its first new album in 30 years, with Jakob Nowell, son of late frontman Bradley Nowell, fronting the band alongside original members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson. The band had been on a successful independent run, with "Ensenada" spending eight consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard's Alternative Airplay chart. The deal allows the band to keep ownership of its master recordings. To mark the 30th anniversary of their landmark self-titled album, Sublime will play two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado on April 17th and 18th, performing the album in full on the first night. The band will also launch a traveling festival called Sublime Me Gusta, debuting May 9th in Fort Worth, Texas.

Tom Morello is joining Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band on their upcoming Land of Hope & Dreams American Tour.

He's playing every date, sitting in for several songs during each show. He even postponed his own recently-announced solo tour so he could do it.

He says, quote, "After Bruce joined me last month in Minneapolis for our 'Defend Minnesota' charity concert, I was reminded how important our platform is, and how crucial the resistance work is that our music can do together at this dangerous historical juncture.

"Together, Bruce, the E Street Band, and I are going to turn a spotlight on the current threats to democracy and human rights happening all around us."

It also includes appearances from Jessi Colter and Kris Kristofferson, along with Miranda Lambert and Eric Church.
