Dave Grohl Explains Josh Freese Firing

Dave Grohl has explained why Foo Fighters parted ways with drummer Josh Freese in May. In a new interview on Apple Music 1, Grohl said the whole band made the decision together during a touring break in 2024, and that it didn't happen overnight. Freese, who joined after the death of Taylor Hawkins, later said the band's music never really resonated with him. Grohl acknowledged that finding a replacement for Hawkins, who had been the band's drummer for 25 years, has been incredibly difficult. Former Nine Inch Nails drummer Ilan Rubin has since taken over the role.

Mumford & Sons Announce 2026 Tour

Mumford & Sons are hitting the road in a big way this summer and fall. The band announced the "Prizefighter Tour" alongside the release of their new album "Prizefighter," co-produced with Aaron Dessner of The National. The North American leg kicks off June 2nd in Vancouver and runs through October 6th near Los Angeles, stopping at iconic venues like Wrigley Field in Chicago, Fenway Park in Boston, and Madison Square Garden in New York. Opening acts on various dates include Sierra Ferrell, Caamp, Lord Huron, Marcus King Band, Dylan Gossett, and Medium Build. General ticket sales start on Friday.

Tobias Forge Explains The Need To Take A Break After Skeletour

Ghost frontman Tobias Forge says the band has nothing planned after the current "Skeletour" wraps up, and he's okay with that. In a radio interview, Forge said 15 years of nonstop touring has left him physically and mentally drained, and that his teenage kids, who have largely grown up without him home, need him around. He also said he has simply run out of creative ideas for Ghost and needs time away to find fresh inspiration. Forge confirmed he is working on other projects, including two films and a non-Ghost music recording, but a new Ghost album is not in the works.
