The Olympic Cheater's Ex-Girlfriend Has Spoken

Norwegian biathlete Sturla Holm Laegreid became a sensation. Not for winning a bronze medal, but for admitting to the entire world that he lost the love of his life by cheating on her.

Well, said love of Sturla's life has spoken, although she's choosing to remain anonymous. And, sad to say, there's no happy Hollywood ending. At least not yet.

She said, quote, "[It's] hard to forgive, even after a declaration of love in front of the whole world."

She's also not happy with all the attention she's getting. Quote, "I did not choose to be put in this position, and it hurts to have to be in it. We have had contact, and he is aware of my opinions on this."

Yesterday, Sturla apologized to her, and said, quote, "I cannot change what has happened, but I will now put this behind me and focus on the Olympics. I will not be answering any further questions about this."

He also apologized for taking the spotlight away from his teammate, Johan-Olav Botn, who won gold in the event.
