Music News: Slipknot To Finally Release Album Recorded In 2008

Slipknot To Finally Release Album Recorded In 2008

It’s been one heck of a long wait for Maggots, but that wait is almost over. Slipknot fans will finally get to hear "Look Outside Your Window," an album recorded during the sessions for 2008's "All Hope Is Gone." The 10-track project was made by Corey Taylor, Jim Root, Sid Wilson and Shawn "Clown" Crahan at a farmhouse while taking a break from the main album sessions. Crahan has called the music more experimental and psychedelic, comparing it to Radiohead. Taylor has said it sounds nothing like typical Slipknot. The album will be released on vinyl for Record Store Day on April 18th.

Free-Climber Alex Honnold Listened To A Hard Rock Playlist On His Way Up Taipei 101

Rock will take you to the top, and in Alex Honnold’s case that’s literal. After climbing the 1,667-foot Taipei 101 skyscraper without ropes or harnesses, Honnold has shared the playlist that got him to the top. The free solo climber, who performed the feat live on Netflix, listened mostly to Tool, including songs like "Forty Six & 2," "Invincible" and "Lateralus." He also had tracks by Linkin Park, Nothing More, The Used, Senses Fail, Chevelle and The Offspring on his playlist.
