Kid Rock appears before the Senate to testify about Ticketmaster pricing
Kid Rock on Wednesday called for a price cap on resale tickets for live music and sporting events, arguing that fans and artists have been “getting screwed” by a system that drives up prices and offers little benefit to performers.
“I’m here because hardworking Americans who love live music deserve better, and artists deserve control over their own work,” Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, told lawmakers during a Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation subcommittee hearing.

Spiritbox To Perform Live At The GRAMMY Premiere Ceremony
A heavy act is finally getting some GRAMMY love…Canadian metal band Spiritbox will perform live at the 2026 GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony on Sunday. The event begins at 12:30 p.m. PST at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The band is nominated for Best Metal Performance for their song "Soft Spine," marking their third consecutive nomination in the category after "Jaded" in 2024 and "Cellar Door" in 2025. Two More Artists Have Dropped Out of Kid Rock's Rock the Country Festival
Morgan Wade and Carter Faith are no longer part of the lineup. And neither artist has shared an official reason for stepping away.
But in a TikTok comment, a fan told Faith they were disappointed she was performing at the festival . . . and Faith replied, "I'm not anymore!"
Their exit comes just days after Ludacris also dropped out. His team called his original booking a "mix-up."
The festival is headlined by Kid Rock and will feature Jason Aldean, Jelly Roll, Miranda Lambert, and more.
