A Former Red Hot Chili Peppers Producer Says Anthony Kiedis Is Tone Deaf
Would it surprise you that a band in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has a TONE DEAF singer?
This is apparently true about Red Hot Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis.
The guy who produced the band's third and fourth albums shared this to fans in a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" forum. Someone had asked why guitarist John Frusciante shared lead vocals with Kiedis on the song "Knock Me Down".
He said, quote, "John sang the song (or rather, his voice was louder in the mix) because the song was melodic and Anthony was/is tone-deaf (i.e. he can't hear pitch).
"At any rate, John essentially wrote the song, including the melody, so it wasn't entirely inappropriate for him to sing it."

Slipknot Backs Off On Internet Domain Battle
Sometimes you just want to push your fingers into your eyes. Slipknot has voluntarily dismissed its cybersquatting lawsuit against the owner of the Slipknot.com domain. The band filed suit last fall, claiming the domain, registered in 2001, was being used to profit from its name through pay-per-click ads for concert tickets and merchandise. Slipknot has used Slipknot1.com as its official site instead. Lawyers for the domain owner argued that Slipknot failed to serve the registrant in time, and the band dropped the case the next day. The dismissal is without prejudice, meaning Slipknot could refile in the future. The domain's owner is listed through a Cayman Islands address.

Ashton Kutcher Wants to Write a Country Album
Who knew Ashton Kutcher was such a big country music fan?
Here's what he said in a recent interview on "Good Morning America": "I don't know if this is healthy or not. It might not be healthy. I decided I'm going to write a country music album."
Ashton also joked that he's "not a very good singer" . . . but that's not slowing him down. He said, "I'm going to do it anyway just because I want to write an album."
But some country fans may not be totally shocked by this. Ashton has appeared at the ACM Awards before . . . and he's been known to pop up at Stagecoach.
You can also catch Ashton starring in the new FX series "The Beauty", streaming on Hulu.
