Phil Collins Has a 24-Hour Live-In Nurse
Phil Collins turns 75 on January 30th, and things aren't going great. He shared his ongoing health struggles in a new interview.
Quote, "I have a 24-hour live-in nurse to make sure I take my medication as I should do . . . I had everything that could go wrong with me did go wrong with me. I got COVID in hospital, my kidneys started to back up, you know,
"Everything that started that could, all seemed to converge at the same time. I had five operations on my knee now, I've got a knee that works and I can walk, albeit with assistance, you know, crutches or whatever."
Phil is optimistic that he'll be able to release new music. Quote, "I've got some things that are half formed or were never finished, and a couple of things that were finished, which I like, so you know, maybe life in the old dog."
As you know, Phil sustained a spinal injury in 2007. The damaged vertebrae in his upper neck caused lasting nerve damage that makes him unable to hold a drumstick.

Kyle Gass Promises Tenacious D Comeback
Kyle Gass says Tenacious D will return after the band went on hiatus following his controversial joke about the Trump assassination attempt in 2024. In a new interview, Gass called the comment "terrible judgment" and said he has felt awful ever since. He explained that his agent dropped him the next day, and things spiraled from there. Gass said he and Jack Black have since talked things out, and he confirmed the band will be back, joking it's "gonna be bigger than Oasis."

Data was compiled from a bunch of different lyric databases, and the most common words in country music are: "love" . . . "baby" . . . "girl" . . . "heart" . . . "truck" . . . "home" . . . "night" . . . "mama" . . . "whiskey" . . . and "drink."
That sure does reaffirm a lot of stereotypes. But where is BEER on this list? Surely there has to be a beer mention in the top 10?
But to be fair, a lot of those buzzwords are about relationships and storytelling. And it does confirm that country artists really do love singing about their mama.
