Poison's 40th Anniversary Tour Is Off, Because Bret Wanted 600% More than Everyone Else
Poison was supposed to celebrate its 40th anniversary with a tour this year, but it's not happening. And it's supposedly Bret Michaels' fault.
Poison is an anomaly in rock . . . a band that's lasted four decades with its original lineup: Bret on the microphone, C.C. DeVille on guitar, Bobby Dall on bass, and Rikki Rockett on drums.
But apparently, Bret thinks he's a little more equal than the other guys, and he demanded 600 PERCENT MORE than them.
Rockett says, quote, "He wanted the lion's share of the money, to the point where it makes it not possible to even do it. It's like $6 to every one of our dollars. You just can't work that way."
He adds, quote, "I don't do this just for the money. I do have a love for this, absolutely. But at the same time, you don't want to go out and work really hard just to make somebody else a bunch of money."
Rockett says finding a replacement for Bret and doing the tour without him isn't out of the question, but it's not something he wants to do.
Quote, "I'm not quarreling with Bret, We just didn't come to agreement. I don't like it, and I'll say that, but it's not like, 'Let's put up our dukes.' I don't think there's a better frontman for Poison."

The Black Crowes released a video for their new single "Profane Prophecy".
THE BLACK CROWES' music video for the song "Profane Prophecy" can be seen below. In the clip, THE BLACK CROWES have conjured seven devils (representing each deadly sin) to wreak havoc on this little fairytale world of stark morality and harsh retribution. In creating this world, they leaned into uncanniness with hyper-unrealistic theatrical set pieces and life-size dioramas.
"Profane Prophecy" is taken from THE BLACK CROWES' new studio album, "A Pound Of Feathers", which is due out March 13 via Silver Arrow Records.
