The upcoming "Star Wars" movie, "Star Wars: Starfighter", will have a lightsaber duel that was filmed by none other than Tom Cruise.
He was visiting the set and arrived in typical fashion . . . by helicopter while the crew played the "Mission: Impossible" theme over the speakers.
Director Shawn Levy said he jokingly suggested that Tom get behind the camera and help film, and was surprised when Tom was into the idea.
Not only did he pick up a camera, but Tom tried to get the perfect shot and was, quote, "up to his ankles in mud and pond water" and ruined his "very nice" shoes.
Shawn says, quote, "Now when you see the movie, you'll know that part of it was shot by Tom. I mean, how cool is that?"
"Star Wars: Starfighter" hits theaters May 28th, 2027. It's a standalone film starring Ryan Gosling, Matt Smith, and Mia Goth.
