Today is Halloween . . . but things will get even creepier next month, when "Stranger Things" Season Five FINALLY hits Netflix . . . after what feels like FOREVER.
Netflix just released the first full trailer for Season Five, and in less than a day it has racked up nearly 8 MILLION views. It features a rendition of the Queen song, "Who Wants to Live Forever".
It shows all the characters, but the main part features a "full circle" moment: Vecna come face to face with Will Byers. He levitates Will towards him, and says, "You are going to help me . . . one . . . last . . . time."
Also, some NERDS claim there's an ERROR that sticks out like a sore thumb.
In a scene between Eleven and Mike, El says, "This isn't like one of your ['Dungeons & Dragons'] campaigns. You don't get to write the ending. Not this time." She cups his face in her hand, and he looks sad.
But technically, this is a "classic misunderstanding" of D&D.
The Dungeon Masters act as referees . . . crafting the story and guiding players through a campaign. But a "DM" does not have total control over the story . . . let alone how it ends.
Players collaborate on that, and their choices . . . and the luck of the dice . . . shape the story every bit as much as the Dungeon Master, no matter what they had planned it to be.
Anyway . . .
As you probably know by now, the first four episodes will be released on November 26th at 8:00 P.M. Eastern / 5:00 Pacific, everywhere, at once. The next three episodes will drop on Christmas at 8:00 P.M.
And the two-hour finale will hit at 8:00 P.M. on New Year's Eve. The finale will also have a VERY limited theatrical release in North America across New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
