The Internet Can't Figure Out What the "P Is For" in This Children's...

You've probably seen those child alphabet books where they sometimes have to get CREATIVE to come up with something for the less common letters.

Someone on the internet says they picked up a children's quilt at a thrift store several years ago. The tag said "Pottery Barn Kids," and it had a 2008 date.

It has squares with images for each letter of the alphabet, and it's a generic theme: For example, K is a kite . . . L is a lollipop . . . M is mountains . . . N is a needle . . . O is an octopus . . . and it even got a little meta by having Q represented by a quilt.

But they could never figure out what the P image was, so they asked people online for their input. And . . . it's a mixed bag.

The image sort of looks like an apron, so some people think it's a "pinafore," which is a frilly, old-school, sleeveless dress that's worn as an apron. That would be an odd choice for P though.

Some people think it's a "pagoda" . . . those tiered towers with multiple eaves, common in Asia.

Some people think it looks like a diaper, so maybe "P is for Pampers"? Another suggested that it's a piano . . . looking down from above.

And the person who has the quilt says their best-guess over the years was a "potbelly stove."

More than 17,000 people have liked the post, and more than 5,000 people commented on it in less than a week . . . and "pinafore" and "pagoda" are the most popular answers. But not everyone is convinced.

Someone joked, "The A.I. prompt was probably: 'Re-create patch alphabet designs . . . but tweak them slightly so it's not copyright infringement.'"
