Avenged Sevenfold Cancels Part Of Tour Due To Singer M. Shadows' Vocal Injury

Avenged Sevenfold has had to postpone their fall Latin American tour because singer M. Shadows hurt his voice. The band was supposed to start the tour on Wednesday in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but M. Shadows was diagnosed with vocal fold hematoma, which is when a blood vessel in the vocal cord breaks and bleeds under the lining. M. Shadows said he got sick after performing at the Louder Than Life festival and thought his throat problems were from the illness. When he got to Argentina and didn't feel better after resting, he saw a doctor who found the hematoma. He had the same injury in 2017 and kept singing, which led to surgery. This time, he decided to take a few weeks of voice rest and a couple months of rehab to avoid another surgery. The tour will be rescheduled for January.

Ghost's Mexico City Show Was Filmed For Upcoming Concert Movie

After the success of the first one, why wouldn’t you do it again? Ghost filmed their final two shows of the "Skeletour" in Mexico City for a future concert movie. The band's first Mexico City show on September 23rd was canceled because frontman Tobias Forge had food poisoning. But the next two shows on September 24th and 25th at the 20,000-seat Palacio De Los Deportes were filmed on 16mm film. Ghost posted on social media that they shot everything "for the rest of the world to see at some point." The "Skeletour" was Ghost's most theatrical production yet, with a stage design that mixed gothic church symbols with modern concrete architecture.
