McDonald’s Launches New Bacon Special Edition Gold McCrispy And Special Edition Snack Wrap

McDonald’s has just launched the new Bacon Special Edition Gold McCrispy sandwich along with the new Special Edition Gold Snack Wrap. Both items feature McDonald’s new Special Edition Gold Sauce that’s inspired by South Carolina-style barbecue. It’s sweet, smoky, and tangy, and is mustard and vinegar-based.

The Bacon Special Edition Gold McCrispy features a crispy Southern-style fried chicken fillet along with bacon, crinkle-cut pickles, and Special Edition Gold Sauce on a toasted potato bun. The Special Edition Snack Wrap features a McCrispy strip with shredded lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, and Special Edition Gold Sauce wrapped in a flour tortilla.

Both items are available at participating McDonald’s locations for a limited time and prices may vary.

Starbucks Will Bring Back Apple-Flavored Drinks After All In October

Starbucks announced their 2025 fall menu back in August, and to the dismay of many fans, apple-flavored drinks weren’t included. It’s not clear if feedback from fans or a company plan was involved, but beginning October 14, the Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and Apple Crisp Cold foam are returning in regular and protein-enhanced versions.

The Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espresso features blond espresso shaken with apple-crisp-flavored syrup with notes of fresh apple, cinnamon, and brown sugar and is served with oatmilk over ice. The Apple Crisp Cold Foam can be added to any drink to get the apple flavor, and the Apple Crisp Protein Cold Foam has 15 grams of protein in a grande-sized serving.

In addition, starting September 29, Starbucks will be introducing new Protein Lattes and Protein Cold Foams in flavors including chocolate, vanilla, matcha, banana, brown sugar, and salted caramel. The only downside to the menu additions is the absence of Iced Apple Crisp Non-Dairy Cream Chai, Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato, Iced Caramel Apple Cream Latte, and Iced Honey Apple Almondmilk Flat White. Starbucks had revealed plans to cut back on the number of menu items earlier this year, and it looks like these are part of that plan.

What Food Was the Biggest Disappointment Once You Finally Tried It?

We've all had this happen: You're hanging out with someone, and they can't stop TALKING UP some new brand . . . exotic dish . . . or trendy TikTok food hack. And then you try it, and it's . . . meh, at best.

People online are listing the foods that were the biggest disappointments once they finally tried them . . . and here are the highlights:

1.  Truffle oil fries. "I expected gourmet, but they tasted greasy and artificial."

2.  Dubai chocolate. "It wasn't even close to being good for all the hype it got."

3.  The McRib. "And I didn't have high expectations in the first place."

4.  Those gigantic smoked turkey drumsticks at Renaissance Faires.  "The meat is like ham, and every bite is full of ligaments and tendons."

5.  Fondant. "Want to ruin a cake? Cover it in fondant."

6.  Turkish Delight. "All that 'Narnia' B.S. for THIS?!"

7.  Crumbl cookies. "Even baked same-day, they were stale and just OK."

8.  Sparkling water. "It's not 'amazing.' It's overrated liquid static."

9.  Donuts from Dunkin'. "They look pretty, but they always seem to be stale."

10.  Lobster. "It's fine, but expensive for a small portion. I don't get the fuss."

11.  Twinkies. "The most artificial, sugary, plastic-ish flavor I ever tasted."

12.  Kombucha. "It's like someone bottled the liquid from a defrosted freezer."

13.  Dragon fruit. "10/10 visual design. 10/10 badass name. The fruit has the texture of watermelon but tastes like water . . . it tastes like nothing."

14.  Oysters. "It's just cold gloop you can put hot sauce on."

15.  Champagne. "As a kid, I expected it to taste more like Cherry 7-Up."

16.  Pop-Tarts. "It's like eating icing-coated cardboard."

17.  Coconut water. "It tastes like water that's been in someone else's mouth."

18.  Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte ("The PSL"). "It was so disappointing . . . overpriced sugar and mid coffee."
