Jimmy Kimmel Wants Out of His ABC Contract

Jimmy Kimmel isn't waiting around to be reinstated by ABC. He's reportedly trying to break his contract and move on. 

 

 

He also wants to appear as a guest on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" before it goes off the air.

A source says, quote, "This is the last straw and Jimmy is now looking to break his relationship with ABC forever."

 

 

But he's not going away quietly, even if he cuts ties with the network.

 

 

Quote, "Jimmy said he's going to fight this, not even because he cares so much for the show, although he does, but because he cares about the precedent."

 

 

It looks like there could be some truth to this, because Jimmy was spotted visiting his lawyer's office yesterday.

 David Letterman chimed in on Kimmel's suspension yesterday, saying, quote, "You can't go around firing somebody because you're fearful or trying to suck up to an authoritarian, a criminal administration in the Oval Office.

"That's just not how this works."

Here's a twist: The executive producer of "The Charlie Kirk Show" called Paramount and asked them to reinstate the "South Park" episode that made fun of him.

 He says Charlie loved that they parodied him, and he would have wanted the episode to air.
