"South Park" often tries to be right on top of current events, and that can backfire . . . like it did this week.
A new episode was supposed to air last night, but at the last minute it was postponed until NEXT Wednesday.
Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone said, quote, "Apparently when you do everything at the last minute sometimes you don't get it done.
"This one's on us. We didn't get it done in time. Thanks to Comedy Central and 'South Park' fans for being so understanding. Tune in next week!"
There's no word if Charlie Kirk's murder had anything to do with the delay. "South Park" is already airing every TWO weeks . . . so fans will have waited THREE weeks for this episode.
