The Emmys are this Sunday, and host Nate Bargatze has a great idea to keep acceptance speeches short. In case you didn't know, every winner gets 45 seconds to give their thank-yous.
So, after the show, Nate will donate $100,000 to the Boys & Girls Club. However, he'll also take $1,000 for every second that winners go over their allotted time.
And there's another catch, too. If someone goes UNDER the 45-second mark, he will add $1,000. So Nate's donation could very well be more than $100,000.
He says kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs will be there to judge any winners who take away their funding. Quote, "They're gonna come out. You're gonna have to look them in the face. It's real, real.
He adds, quote, "I know people work hard for the Emmys and stuff. So I feel bad, but that's [the plan]."
