Music News: Dave Grohl To Be Honored For Volunteer Work With Homeless

Dave Grohl To Be Honored For Volunteer Work With Homeless

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will be honored at the Hope in the City of Angels gala on October 18th at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles for his volunteer work with homeless people. The 56-year-old former Nirvana drummer has spent hours cooking BBQ food for people experiencing homelessness in LA. In 2023, he cooked ribs, pork butt, brisket, cabbage, coleslaw, and beans for 450 homeless Californians and 50 shelter staff, sleeping in a parking lot overnight while the meat cooked. Hope the Mission says Grohl has "volunteered for days at a time, preparing and serving meals to people experiencing homelessness and food insecurity" without fanfare. Tickets for the gala start at $300 and include a red carpet VIP entrance before dinner and the main event.

Tomorrow's Falling In Reverse Show In New York has been Postponed Until The 29th

Falling In Reverse has postponed their September show in Darien Center, NY until September 29th, marking the fourth date change of their current tour. The band also announced a new date of October 1st for their previously cancelled Charlotte, NC show, which was originally cancelled due to illness. No explanation was given for the Darien Center postponement. Fans are speculating the show was moved due to low ticket sales, similar to their cancelled Austin, TX concert, though the band claims Austin was cancelled because they don't perform three consecutive dates. However, the tour has multiple three-date sections scheduled, causing confusion among fans. The band made the announcement through their Instagram story, which has since been deleted and not posted elsewhere officially.
