Jerry Cantrell Says Alice In Chains Will Try For New Music And Live Shows Next Year
Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell says the band will try to make a new album and do shows in 2026 after a difficult year. The band had to cancel all their scheduled concerts in May after drummer Sean Kinney experienced medical issues. They pulled out of major festivals and headlining dates, though Cantrell's comments suggest Kinney is recovering. Cantrell told Cleveland.com that they "planned on doing much more this year, but it just didn't work out" due to "bad luck." Cantrell said they're looking at early 2026 as a potential restart for both touring and possibly returning to the studio.

Members Of Mastodon Join The March of Brent Hinds in Atlanta
Members of Mastodon joined hundreds of people in Atlanta to honor their late former guitarist Brent Hinds, who died in a traffic accident on August 20 at age 51. The event, called "The March of Brent Hinds," started at a local restaurant and took over the streets with people walking together to remember the musician. It ended at the Star Bar, where they played Hinds' music. Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor shared video footage of the march and said it was "a beautiful start to a day filled with music, laughter, tears, and memories that will stay with us forever." Guitarist Bill Kelliher also took part in the march. Hinds was a co-founder of Mastodon in 2000 and left the sludge metal band in March.

Roger Waters Mocked Ozzy Osbourne for His "Idiocy", and Jack Called Roger Pathetic
Roger Waters MOCKED Ozzy Osbourne last month on the "Independent Ink" podcast, as an example of pop culture figures who distract people from important political issues.
Quote, "Ozzy Osbourne, who just died, bless him, in his, whatever that state that he was in his whole life, we'll never know. Although, he was all over the TV for hundreds of years with his idiocy and nonsense.
"The music, I have no idea, I couldn't give [an eff]. I don't care about Black Sabbath, I never did, I have no interest in 'Wahhhh!!!' [while sticking his tongue out like Gene Simmons] and biting the heads off chickens or whatever they do.
"I couldn't care less."
Well, Ozzy's son Jack caught wind of the interview and responded on social media. Quote, "Hey Roger Waters - [eff] you. How pathetic and out of touch you've become.
"The only way you seem to get attention these days is by vomiting out [BS] in the press. My father always thought you were a [C-word] - thanks for proving him right."
