Music News: Breaking Benjamin Drummer To "Step Away From Touring"

Breaking Benjamin Drummer To "Step Away From Touring"

Breaking Benjamin drummer Shaun Foist has announced that he's stepping away from touring to focus on his health. Foist has been fighting Hashimoto's disease since 2017, which causes fatigue, leg weakness, and makes drumming really hard. During their recent spring tour, his symptoms got much worse, with extreme leg fatigue making it nearly impossible to play. Tests showed his thyroid condition had flared up, pushing it into "hyper" mode and causing weakness and weight loss. After talking with his family and doctors, he decided to take time off to heal. Foist has been with the band for years and helped them reach number one on Billboard with "Dark Before Dawn." The band thanked him and said they're bringing in their friend Cassells to play drums for their upcoming fall tour.

Mudvayne Releases First New Music In 16 Years

Metal band Mudvayne just dropped their first new song in 16 years called "Hurt People Hurt People." The track was produced by Nick Raskulinecz, who has worked with big names like Rush and Foo Fighters. Singer Chad Gray said he wrote the song as a reminder to break painful cycles and create self-love instead of suffering. The band hasn't put out new music since 2009, making this a huge comeback moment. Mudvayne formed in 1996 and sold over 6 million records worldwide. They're known for their wild face paint, masks, and experimental sound.
