People joke about men dating women HALF their age, but with Leonardo DiCaprio you could say that almost-literally. He's 50 now . . . and his current girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti is 27.
But guys, Leo just FEELS younger than his age.
In a new interview with "Esquire", Leonardo was asked, "If you didn't know how old you are, how old are you right now?" And he said, "32."
He called that his "emotional" age . . . and whether he's 32 or 50, he said he believes he wants to be "more honest and not waste time." He said, "I can only imagine how the next few decades are going to progress . . .
"For example, I look at my mother . . . she just says exactly what she thinks and wastes no time. She spends no time trying to fake it."
It sounds like he's mostly talking about BEING REAL in relationships, both personal and professional.
He added, "You have to just be much more upfront. It's almost a responsibility because much more of your life is behind you than it is ahead of you."
Elsewhere in the interview, Leo says that his biggest CAREER regret is turning down Mark Wahlberg's role in "Boogie Nights".
Quote, "It was a profound movie of my generation. [but] I can't imagine anyone but Mark in it. When I finally got to see that movie, I just thought it was a masterpiece."
