Deciding where you want to call home can be complicated. While some people never leave the area they grew up in, others can’t wait to check out new parts of the country in search of somewhere to settle down. But how do you know you’re choosing the best state? A new report from WalletHub has some answers.
- They’ve just come out with their list of the Best States to Live In for 2025.
- They ranked each state on 51 key indicators of livability, breaking them down into five categories - affordability, economy, education and health, quality of life, and safety.

- Based on all of that, Massachusetts has been named the best state to live in, for the fourth consecutive year.
