Kelly Clarkson's ex-husband Brandon Blackstock is dead at the age of 48. A representative for the family confirmed that Blackstock, who was also Clarkson's former talent manager, battled cancer for more than three years. The representative said, "he passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family."
Blackstock's death comes as Clarkson postponed the rest of her Las Vegas residency suddenly on Wednesday night, citing Blackstock's illness and a need to be present for their two children, River Rose and Remington. Kelly and Brandon married in 2013 and split in 2020.
Blackstock not only managed the “Piece By Piece” singer, but also Blake Shelton and others. He was also a TV producer. His father Narvel was previously married to Reba McEntire and their son Shelby is Brandon’s half brother. Besides his father, brother and kids, Blackstock leaves behind son Seth and daughter Savannah (from a previous marriage), grandson Lake, his mom Elisa and siblings Shawna and Chassidy.
