3 Things You Must See: A Brother and Sister Found Each Other 80 Years Later

A brother and sister who were separated as kids found each other 80 years later

Their names are Donald Hefke and Marian Griffin. She's 80, and he's 81. Their mom had mental health issues, and their dad couldn't take care of them. So they ended up in foster care as babies in the 1940s.

He found out about her when he reached out to his foster care agency in 1963 and tracked down her adoptive parents. But they told him to get lost, so he did.

Donald's daughter ended up spending TWO DECADES trying to track Marian down for him, and finally did last year. She realized Marian's son did a DNA test through Ancestry.com and she got in touch.

Donald is in Florida, and Marian lives in California. So they've talked on the phone a bunch, but haven't been able to meet in person yet. She's planning to fly to Florida to see him soon.
