Death has been good to Ozzy Osbourne. Or, more accurately, the heirs who now collect his streaming revenue.
Since Ozzy died last Tuesday, he's gained over 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify . . . jumping from 12.4 million to 18.7 million.
And that's just as a solo artist. Black Sabbath has gone from 19.8 million to 24.6 million monthly listeners.
Sabbath's "Paranoid" has been streamed 9.3 million times since Tuesday, while Ozzy's "Crazy Train" has 8 million streams.
Meanwhile, the greatest hits package, "The Essential Ozzy Osbourne", made it back into the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. It jumped from #134 to #7.
