You Can Buy Paintings Made by Ozzy Osbourne and Chimps?
Ozzy Osbourne teamed up with some chimpanzees to create five paintings to sell at an auction to raise money for Save the Chimps.
He says, quote, "I paint because it gives me peace of mind, but I don't sell my paintings. I've made an exception with these collaborations as it raises money for Save the Chimps . . .
"A sanctuary [in Florida] for hundreds of apes rescued from labs, roadside zoos and wildlife traffickers."
Ozzy painted the backgrounds, and the chimps added the brushstrokes. Each painting is signed and named after one of his songs or albums, like "Blizzard of Oz" and "Paranoid".
If you're interested in bidding on one of these paintings, the auction ends on the 17th. As of last night, the average bid is around 2,500 British pounds, which is about $3,400.
In related Ozzy news, he announced a memoir called "Last Rites" about his life, health battles, and career. It comes out October 7th.

Atreyu Says "About Ten Songs" Done For Next Album
Get ready for new Atreyu, but not this year. Singer Brandon Saller says the band has written about ten songs for their next studio album and that the early tracks are “some of the heaviest we’ve ever done.” The metalcore vets plan to finish writing and recording through 2025, aiming to release new music by early 2026. While working on fresh material, the band is also re-recording its 2004 breakthrough LP “The Curse," set to arrive next month, with Kellen McGregor producing and vinyl pre-orders already live. Saller adds that revisiting the music they loved as kids has lit a creative fire, joking that the group has “broken the give-a-whatever button” and is ready to shock listeners.

Band Many Thought Were AI Announces It's AI
The big secret we told you about last week turned out to not be so secret after all. The Velvet Sundown looked like the next hot indie group, pulling in more than a million monthly Spotify listeners and dropping two albums in June. Now the “members” admit they don’t exist…every song, photo, and bio line was built with artificial-intelligence tools. In a statement, the creators call the project “a mirror” that questions who counts as an artist in the AI age. Fans had already smelled something off: band pictures seemed warped, lyrics felt cliché, and the lightning-fast release schedule didn’t add up. Streaming experts warn the stunt shows how easy it is to flood platforms with AI music and pay for playlist boosts.

Rick Springfield Was Disrespected . . . Twice . . . On the "Today" Show
Rick Springfield was disrespected not once, but TWICE on the "Today" show yesterday.
The first diss happened before he even came out on the set. Al Roker was hyping Rick's appearance, and fellow hosts Savannah Guthrie, Jenna Bush Hager, and Kaylee Hartung started singing "867-5309 / Jenny".
As EVERYONE should know, that's NOT a Rick Springfield song. It's by the FAR INFERIOR Tommy Tutone.
Then, during Springfield's interview, host Craig Melvin YAWNED . . . prompting Rick to ask, quote, "Am I boring you?"
But he wasn't offended. Rick laughed it off and said, quote, "It's early. Don't worry about it. I'll probably yawn too."
For the record, Melvin claimed it was a cough.
