The "Simpsons" Killed Off Marge . . . But Not Really

There's been a lot of chatter this week about the Season 36 finale of "The Simpsons" . . . because they KILLED OFF MARGE.

Except they really didn't.

The episode is called "Estranger Things", and it starts with Marge telling Bart and Lisa to always stay close, because she and Homer won't always be around.

Then it flashes forward 35 years, and Bart and Lisa HAVE drifted . . . and Marge is no longer with us. They show her tombstone, and it says, quote, "beloved wife, mother, pork-chop seasoner."

But since this was a flash-forward decades into the future, don't expect it to have any bearing on any other episodes. When Season 37 premieres, things will probably be back to normal.

FYI, 35 years into the future, Lisa is the commissioner of the NBA . . . formerly the WNBA. And the men's league has become known as the MNBA.

Meanwhile, Bart is scamming senior citizens out of their Social Security checks.
