The Foo Fighters Asked for Permission to Swear, Smoke, and Drink During Their Upcoming Show in Indonesia
Indonesia is a majority-Muslim country with strict obscenity laws. The Foo Fighters have a show scheduled in the city of Jakarta on October 2nd. So how the HECK is that gonna work?
Well, their tour rider includes a provision that allows them to SWEAR, DRINK, AND SMOKE onstage.
A guy named Ravel Junardy is promoting the show, and he says, quote, "As long as it doesn't touch on sensitive topics like race, religion, or Indonesian cultural values, we'll allow it."
Ravel is basically trying to get ahead of any controversy here. By announcing ahead of time what authorities can expect, he's giving them a chance to raise any concerns BEFORE the show.
Violation of Indonesian's obscenity laws can result in anything from a fine to YEARS in prison.

Sully Erna Says Godsmack Is Taking A Year Off
We won’t be getting Godsmack live again for a while. Lead singer Sully Erna said the band is taking a full year off after their European tour ended last month. In an interview with Hungary’s Hammer World, Erna shared that he’s not sure what he’ll do next but might start a new project. He didn’t give details about what it could be. This break comes after the band’s drummer, Shannon Larkin, and guitarist, Tony Rombola, left last year to live quieter lives away from touring. Godsmack’s latest album, Lighting Up The Sky, released in February 2023, might be their last, as Erna has said they’re not planning new music. The band is now focusing on a fresh start, with Erna set to perform a solo concert on September 6th at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.
