Foo Fighters Part Ways With Drummer Josh Freese
No one was more surprised than The Foo Fighters let go of their drummer Josh Freese after two years than…Josh Freese. Freese, who joined in 2023 to replace the late Taylor Hawkins, shared on Instagram that the band called to say they wanted to go in a “different direction.” He said he’s not mad but feels shocked and disappointed. Freese enjoyed his time playing with the band and wished them well. The Foo Fighters haven’t said why they made the change or who will be behind the kit next.

The Who is practicing for their upcoming farewell tour by . . . bidding farewell to their drummer. Twice.
Last month, word got out that The Who had fired Zak Starkey . . . their drummer of 29 years. He's Ringo Starr's son. Then, they brought him back onboard, after blaming "communication issues."
Now, he's been fired AGAIN . . . and replaced by a drummer named Scott Devours. It sounds like there was some disagreement about some other side projects that Zak is doing.
In a social media post, Zak says he was dumped again after being asked to LIE about quitting the band to pursue other things.
He says he'd never quit The Who, and has always had side projects that didn't interfere with The Who.
He ended it by saying, "I love The Who and everyone in it."
