Wolfgang Van Halen Explains Band's Name Change

Wolfgang Van Halen shared why he changed his band’s name from Mammoth WVH to just Mammoth during a Q&A session on May 11. He said the name Mammoth was a nod to his dad Eddie Van Halen’s first band, where Eddie was the singer. Wolfgang got his dad’s blessing to use it. He added his initials, WVH, to make it clear it was his project, but always wanted to call it Mammoth. Over time, fans started calling the band Mammoth anyway, so he decided to drop the WVH to keep it simple and match what people already say. He also mentioned his first idea for the band was a song called “Mammoth I,” showing how the name stuck from the start.

Jelly Roll Is Allowed to Perform in England, Despite His Felonies

Jelly Roll is currently on the Big [Butt] World Tour right now with Post Malone. But the "World" part of this tour has never been fully guaranteed for Jelly due to his past criminal background.

But apparently, some wheeling and dealing went on behind the scenes, and now Jelly is GOOD TO GO. And his first two shows are at Tottenham Stadium!

He announced it in a very excited Instagram post yesterday. He said, "Biggest announcement of my career. They let me come to England, baby. I can't believe I am even coming to England, but the fact that my first time I am doing two stadium shows with Post Malone . . . This is huge."

Here's what Steve Perry said about the process, "No one has a voice or vocal phrasing anything like Willie Nelson . . . Singing this duet with Willie has been something I've always wanted to do."

Steve went on to say, quote, "I'll never forgot what it was like hearing his voice on the radio growing up and [then] meeting him. It was very iconic for me. I mean, he has become the Sinatra of country music."
