Pearl Jam Drops Four Song EP

Pearl Jam has dropped a new four-song EP called “The Last of Us” tied to the hit HBO show and video game. It features “Future Days,” a song from their 2013 album Lightning Bolt, which Ellie sings a line from in the show’s latest episode. The song is special because it’s key to the game’s story between Ellie and Joel. The EP also includes “All or None” from 2002, a live version of “Future Days” from the 2024 Ohana Festival, and a new take on “Present Tense” from 1996. Fans can stream it now, and a limited 12-inch vinyl was released for Pearl Jam’s Ten Club members, but it sold out fast. The band’s link to the series is extra cool since the story partly takes place in their hometown of Seattle.

Jillian Shriner's Charges Reduced In Shooting Incident

Jillian Lauren Shriner, wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, was charged with felony gun crimes in Los Angeles yesterday. The charges stem from an incident last month where she allegedly shot at police during a wild chase in Eagle Rock. Officers were looking for a hit-and-run suspect when Shriner pointed a gun at them, leading to cops shooting and injuring her. She faced attempted murder charges at first, but the district attorney reduced them to felony discharge of a firearm and assault with a deadly weapon. Shriner pleaded not guilty in court late yesterday. Her lawyer says she’s recovering from her injuries and hopes for a fair trial.
