Disturbed's David Draiman Proposes To GF On Stage

Disturbed’s lead singer David Draiman proposed to his girlfriend, Sarah Uli, on stage at their Sacramento concert at the Golden 1 Center on Friday. During the show, part of their Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour, Draiman brought Uli out after performing “The Sound of Silence” and asked her to marry him in front of thousands of fans. She said yes, and the crowd cheered wildly. The moment, captured by band photographer Britt Bowan, happened before the song “The Light.” Draiman, who divorced his ex-wife Lena Yada in 2023, met Uli after using Tinder.

Alice In Chains Cancels Shows Over Drummer's Health

Alice in Chains canceled their May tour dates after drummer Sean Kinney got sick on Thursday. It started when Kinney had a non-life-threatening medical emergency after a soundcheck in Uncasville, Connecticut, forcing the band to cancel that night’s show. The next day, they decided to cancel all their festival and headline shows for the month, including Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville. The band said they followed doctors’ advice, and while Kinney needs care now, he should be okay in the long run. They apologized to fans and thanked them for their support, saying Kinney’s health comes first. Refunds are available for all canceled shows.

Metallica Sets Off Seismograph At Virginia Show

Metallica played a concert at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Virginia, on Thursday, the home of the Virginia Tech Hokies. Fans went wild, jumping to the band’s hit “Enter Sandman,” which the Hokies have used as their football team’s entrance song since 2000. The crowd’s energy was so strong it set off a nearby seismograph, making it look like a small earthquake, similar to what happens at Hokie games. This was the first time Metallica performed the song in the stadium, and about 60,000 fans made it a big deal.

Mammoth Plays Six Song Acoustic Set In Kansas City

Wolfgang Van Halen’s band Mammoth performed a six-song acoustic set at J. Rieger & Co. distillery in Kansas City, Missouri last week. Fans filmed the show, which included songs like “Another Celebration At The End Of The World,” “Epiphany,” “Think It Over,” “Distance,” “Take A Bow,” and their new single “The End.” The relaxed setting let the band show off their music in a stripped-down style, different from their usual high-energy shows. Wolfgang, who leads the band and plays multiple instruments, has been promoting “The End,” a song with a big guitar riff, as part of their upcoming U.S. tour starting in November.

Do NOT Call Daryl Hall "Yacht Rock"!!!

Daryl Hall has strong feelings about the term "Yacht Rock" . . . and none of them are good.

In a recent interview, he called it, quote, "an [effing] joke," and referred to the people who invented the term by an epithet that I can't repeat on the air.

He adds, quote, "I never understood it. It's just R&B with maybe some jazz in there. It's mellow R&B. It's smooth R&B. I don't see what the yacht part is.

"People misjudged us because they couldn't label us. They always came up with all this kind of crap, soft rock and yacht rock and all this other nonsense. And none of it, none of it really describes anything that I do really."
