Ozzy Osbourne Says He Really Will Retire After July's Show

Rock stars almost NEVER stick to their retirement promises. But Ozzy Osbourne says that's not the case with him. He's holding fast to his pledge to hang it up after that big show on July 5th.

Quote, "I'd love to say 'never say never', but after the last six years or so, it is time. I lived on the road for 50-odd years, and I've kind of got used to not picking up my bags and getting on the bus again.

"I don't smoke dope or do any of the rock star lifestyle anymore. I'm kind of like a homebody. I never go out. I never hang out in bars, I don't drink. So what the [eff] is out there for me?"

Ozzy says he wanted to spend the rest of his life with his family, including his grandkids. Quote, "I don't want to die in a hotel room somewhere."

He's been pretty outspoken about his debilitating battle with Parkinson's disease. Quote, "You wake up the next morning and find that something else has gone wrong. You begin to think this is never going to end."

For this reason, he can't perform a full set at his final show. He'll only be onstage for a few songs with Black Sabbath, and a few with his solo band. And he'll most likely be sitting.

In related newsSteven Tyler and the surviving members of Soundgarden have been added to the lineup.
