Bad Company And Soundgarden Weigh Performing At Their Rock Hall Induction
Two bands in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2025 aren't sure if they'll perform at the induction ceremony. Health issues might keep Bad Company watching a tribute by someone else. Drummer Simon Kirke alluded to strokes suffered by lead singer Paul Rodgers and guitarist Mick Ralphs. Rumor is, though, that Kirke and Rodgers will perform. Bassist Raymond "Boz" Burrell died in 2006. Soundgarden hasn't performed an "official" show since the death of frontman Chris Cornell in 2017. Freddie Mercury Didn't Finish Recording with Michael Jackson Because of a Llama?
Freddie Mercury got together with Michael Jackson in 1983 to work on new music together, but it all came to a quick end because of Michael's pet LLAMA, Louie.
The bass player who played on Freddie's solo album, "Mr. Bad Guy", said, quote, "I think the last straw was when Michael brought his pet llama into the studio. I think Freddie sort of took umbrage to that."
They had gotten together at Michael's home studio, and unfortunately their duets of "Victory", "State of Shock", and "There Must Be More to Life Than This" were never officially released.
Freddie released a solo version of "There Must Be More to Life Than This" on his solo album. And Michael went on to record "State of Shock" with his brothers and Mick Jagger.
This isn't the first we've heard of this. In the 2012 documentary, "Freddie Mercury: The Great Pretender", Queen's manager said Freddie had called him to get him out of the studio because of the llama.
