Shannon Sharpe Sued for $50 Million Over Sexual Assault Allegations

On Sunday, a Jane Doe lawsuit against NFL Hall of Famer and broadcaster Shannon Sharpe was filed, asking for $50 million over claims of sexual assault. In the suit, the anonymous plaintiff claims she was “brutally sexually assaulted” by Sharpe “several times at the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025.”

  • Doe claims she met Sharpe in a gym in L.A. in 2023, where he “told her he would buy her fake t..s if she won a weight loss competition with him”
  • That was allegedly followed by Sharpe “pursuing” her “relentlessly, texting, calling, and demanding she come to his Beverly Glen mansion”
  • Eventually, she says they got into a “consensual relationship,” which she describes in the suit as “controlling and verbally abusive”…and that Sharpe “demanded complete control of her time and body”
  • At one point, Doe says there was an argument that “terrified her” and there was a gun “visible in the room”
  • Doe allegedly tried to text friends her location, and said Sharpe threatened to kill her if she ever did that again
  • The relationship continued, however, and Doe says the first instance of assault happened in October of 2024, a second a “few weeks later”

Doe is represented by Tony Buzbee, the same attorney that rounded up all the accusers who eventually filed lawsuits against Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson. As of now, there’s been no response to the suit from Sharpe or his legal team.
