Katy Perry, Gayle King, and Jeff Bezos' fiancé Lauren Sanchez successfully completed their space flight yesterday.
It was an all-female flight that also included a filmmaker, a former NASA scientist, and a research scientist.
It was about 10 minutes long and they flew to an altitude of 62 miles, just above what's called the Karman Line . . . which is the edge of the Earth's atmosphere.
After touching back down, Katy said, quote, "I feel super-connected to love." She added that during the flight, she sang "What a Wonderful World" instead of one of her own songs.
Quote, "That is not about me. It's not about singing my songs. It's about a collective energy and a mirror. It's about us . . . This is all for the benefit of Earth."
By the way . . . Katy also says she's writing a song about her experience. Which, if you've heard her last album, is more of a threat than a promise.
Oh, and Jeff Bezos face-planted while trying to greet the capsule when it returned.
Here's video of the crew experiencing weightlessness.
And here's a video of Katy and Gayle being SUPER cliché and kissing the ground after landing.
