McDonald’s Add Homemade-Style Lemonade To Its Permanent Menu

McDonald’s has just added a new item to its permanent menu – premium Homemade-Style Lemonade. McDonald’s says the new Lemonade features “real lemon juice, bits of lemon pulp and real cane sugar handcrafted by our beverage experts for citrus-ly good flavors.”

Each small drink contains 120 calories and is dispensed out of the orange juice machine instead of being mixed with soft drinks in the large dispenser. The previous Minute Maid lemonade is still available as a fountain drink. The new lemonade contains water, cane sugar, lemon juice from concentrate, lemon pulp and natural flavors while the Minute Maid version has water and high fructose corn syrup, citric acid, and glycerol ester of wood rosin.

Reviews so far are good with comments like “Every McDonald’s I’ve been to has already changed over to the new lemonade, it’s way better than the minute maid.” It has also been favorably compared to Chick-fil-A lemonade, widely considered to be the gold standard in fast-food lemonade. The new McDonald’s Homemade-Style Lemonade is available now at McDonald’s locations nationwide.
