Day two of the first round of March Madness action tips off today starting at 12:15 pm ET. To help prioritize your viewing…outside of your favorite team…here are the games The Athletic says are the most worth watching. 

  • Best Game: (4) Maryland vs (13) Grand Canyon (4:35 pm ET/TBS) – GCU has gained a reputation for being “one of the best and most consistent mid-major programs in the country”
  • Blow Off Work For: (5) Memphis vs (12) Colorado State (2:00 pm ET/TBS) – Colorado is hot, and this game will be way more fun than whatever you’re supposed to be doing at work
  • Stick Around For: (7) Saint Mary’s vs (10) Vanderbilt (3:15 pm ET/TruTV) – Saint Mary’s has enough talent to be a Sweet 16 team
  • Stay Up Late For: (5) Oregon vs (12) Liberty (10:10 pm ET/TruTV) – If Liberty can control the pace and stay consistent with the three’s, this has upset written all over it

Kentucky Coach Gives Gas Money To Fans To “Take Over” Milwaukee

If you notice a swarm of blue in the crowd during tonight’s matchup between Kentucky and Troy, you can give a bit of creation to Wildcats head coach Mark Pope. During a radio show on Monday, Pope put the word out that it was only a seven-hour drive to Milwaukee from Lexington and then encouraged fans to hit him up for gas money. They did. So, true to his word, Pope reached out to random fans, asked them for proof that they were going to the game, and then hit their Venmo accounts with flat-rate gas money to and from the venue. That’s how you do it!
