A Woman Was Arrested for Assaulting Her Boyfriend with a Watermelon
There have been reports of people being arrested for assaulting people with food . . . and it's usually silly stuff like chicken nuggets or Skittles. But THIS is definitely a lethal weapon.
A 56-year-old woman in Florida named Shelly Hardwick got into a verbal altercation with her boyfriend last Sunday. And things got SERIOUS when she "picked up a whole watermelon and threw it" at the guy.

Shelly told the cops that she "only threw the watermelon out of frustration." She denied trying to HIT the boyfriend . . . but the cops looked at him, and saw there were "watermelon seeds on his face and clothing." He's fine, by the way.
Shelly was arrested for domestic battery, and spent a night in jail. She was ordered not to have contact with the boyfriend . . . and to wear an ankle bracelet that monitors alcohol consumption.
