Denny's Joins Waffle House And Announces Egg Surcharge
It’s another hard-boiled decision from a restaurant chain. Due to the ongoing nationwide egg shortage and rising costs, Denny's has added an egg surcharge to its menu. The popular diner chain, known for its Grand Slam breakfasts, says the price increase is necessary to keep up with higher supply costs. Waffle House has already adjusted its prices to deal with the bird-flu-induced shortage in eggs. Denny’s has not said how long the surcharge will last, but they assure customers that they are working to keep prices as low as possible while still serving fresh eggs in their meals.
